Breathing quality air is essential for your health

To achieve this, you need to start with proper cleaning of all your ventilation ducts. The quality of the air you breathe in your indoor living spaces is very important in order to avoid respiratory health problems. There are many fine particles suspended in the air that remain invisible to the naked eye. These particles are made up of multiple substances harmful to health: pollen, fungal spores, chemical pollutants, dust and animal hair. These particles can come from different sources such as tobacco, dust caused by renovation work, mold, cooking certain foods!

Here are the warning signs that your air ducts are due for a good cleaning

Less efficient ventilation system.

Dust accumulation in system inlets and outlets.

Excessive accumulation of dust and fibers in the air of your home.

Heating and cooling costs higher than usual.

The procedure for cleaning ventilation ducts includes several important steps. Here is a general guide:

1. Preparation :

Initial inspection: Before cleaning begins, an initial inspection of the ducts is performed to assess their condition and determine the type of cleaning required.
Protection of areas : Furniture and surfaces near air vents are protected with tarps or blankets.

2. Access to the ducts:

Opening of registers and grilles : The ventilation grilles and registers are removed to allow full access to the ducts.
Creating access points : If necessary, temporary openings can be created in the ducts to access difficult areas.

3. Cleaning :

Powerful suction: A powerful vacuum machine is used to extract debris and contaminants from the ducts. The suction pipe is usually connected to the main line of the system.
Rotary brushing: Rotating brushes are inserted into the ducts to dislodge accumulated dirt and debris. These brushes are often used in combination with vacuuming.
Pneumatic agitation: Pneumatic agitation devices can be used to move and remove debris from duct walls.

4. Disinfection (if necessary) :

Application of disinfectants: If mold or bacteria have been detected, appropriate disinfectants can be applied to sanitize the ducts.

5. Final inspection and closure:

Post-cleaning inspection: A final inspection is performed to ensure all ducts are clean.
Closing access points: Temporary openings created in the ducts are properly sealed.
Reinstallation of grilles and registers: The grilles and registers are reinstalled and secured.

6. Test and verification:

System testing : The HVAC system is tested to ensure it is functioning properly after cleaning.
Checking the airflow: The airflow is checked to ensure there are no obstructions and that the system is operating efficiently.

7. Cleaning the work area:

Final cleaning: All work areas are cleaned, and any protective equipment used is removed.

This procedure ensures that the ventilation ducts are effectively cleaned, contributing to healthier indoor air and optimal operation of the HVAC system.

Cleaning the air exchanger ventilation duct

The first step is to unplug your appliance and remove the filters. Afterwards we remove all the hatches and during cleaning we first create a negative pressure in the pipes of your air exchanger. Then, we gently blow each of your ducts so that the dust and residue move to our dust collector which is equipped with a HEPA filter. Finally, we apply biocide to eliminate bacteria and we clean the two exits outside your property.

Dryer duct cleaning

Have you noticed that the drying time is longer than usual? Does your dryer seem to be overheating and you notice high humidity inside your dryer? This means it is high time to have your dryer vent cleaned to prevent the risk of a dryer fire. Lint can self-ignite from heat when your vent is partially or completely blocked. Cleaning your dryer vent can be done in 2 ways, either from the inside or from the outside. From the inside, we move and disconnect your device to be able to vacuum up all the lint using a compressor and Hepa vacuum cleaner. From the outside we just have to find the right exit and get all the lint out using the compressor and special equipment.
